ABOUT GINA CHAVEZ

Gina Chavez is a multi-ethnic, Austin native is a queer, Catholic, internationally-acclaimed Latinx pop artist who is redefining Latin music in Texas and beyond.

A 12-time Austin Music Award winner—including 2015 Musician of the Year and 2019 Best Female Vocals—Chavez is an Austin icon. And word is getting out. With more than a million views on her NPR Tiny Desk, an hour-long PBS special, and a 12-country tour through Latin America, the Middle East and Central Asia as a cultural ambassador with the U.S. State Department, Chavez is ready for a bigger stage.

She is... La Que Manda.

Released on May 27, 2020, La Que Manda, (“The Woman in Charge”) is the story of a woman coming into her own power.

“I’ve spent my life playing nice and making myself small,” said Chavez. “Then I toured the U.S. and the world and saw how women everywhere -- from Nebraska to Uzbekistan to Argentina -- know what it means to be silenced in the face of power. This album is for them, for all of us. An anthem to reclaim our bodies, our hearts, our voices, and show the world what we’ve known the whole time: we are La Que Manda.”

ABOUT LISA BELLO

Lisa Bello is an award-winning R&B singer-songwriter who infuses her performances with the soul, swagger, and depth of feeling that make up the roots of this East Coast-bred artist.

Most comfortable on stage, Bello's latest self-titled album was written and produced in quarantine during the dark days of 2020s global pandemic and uprising for racial justice. It features collaborations with Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated producers, as well as her 7-year-old son Cassius (who appears on both of her studio albums and also serves as her publisher). A prolific performer, Lisa toured globally for her first EP, Tommy Boy, and is preparing to release a new EP in the spring as well as a tour for the Lisa Bello album.

Lisa is known and recognized for a lifetime of songwriting, vocal ability, and humanitarianism, having been awarded the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Hip Hop category, Boston Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year and R&B Vocalist of the Year, the New England Nightlife Independent Artist of the Year, and OUTMUSIC Awards Humanitarian Songwriter of the Year.
